As your local councillor, it deeply concerns me to hear about the crimes being committed in our community. I have been informed that residents have had their cars stolen, houses burgled, and even been victims of armed robbery. It's unacceptable that our community is being subjected to this kind of criminal activity.
That's why I have been advocating for increased police presence in Bowdon. I am pleased to hear that the Greater Manchester Combined Authority has recently announced plans to recruit 264 more neighbourhood officers. However, we need to ensure that this translates to increased policing locally in Bowdon.
As your representative, I am committed to working with GM Police and Trafford Council to make sure that our community gets the resources it needs to feel safe and secure. While having more police officers on the beat is not a solution to all crime and anti-social behaviour, it's a vital step in the right direction. A visible police presence can help to deter criminal activity, respond quickly to incidents, and reassure residents.
